At Thompson Lift Truck, we have always aimed to establish a secure workplace for our employees. Our dedication to enhancing safety is evident through our daily commitment to rigorous training programs and meticulous attention to detail.
Our technicians attend multiple training classes each year, while keeping up with basic safety practices. Each January they attend MSHA annual refresher training and basic crane and rigging training. Throughout the year, they are required to keep up with machine/component specific training, Smith Systems Driver Training, forklift operation and safety, as well as keep all certificates valid. Technicians complete a JHA (Job Hazard Analysis) before starting any repairs and have Stop Work Authority if a safety issue is found before or during a repair.
Employees are encouraged to help drive safety culture by attending and leading safety meetings. This allows for more visibility and transparency of inspections, action items, incident reporting, and our overall Safety Measurement Success.
